gold key

Watching”

Taken in Carmel Market, Tel Aviv, Israel: this image is one that I find much pride and accomplishment. A gold key is a prestigious, first place award that goes to 5-7% of regional submissions.

silver key

Cobalt Waters”

Taken in Rosh HaNikra, Israel, off the Mediterranean coast; this image received a silver key in the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Silver keys are given to work recognized: with 7-10% of regional submissions awarded silver.

silver key

Elaine”

Taken in my home, in New York, this piece is an ode to my Late Grandmother, Elaine Pearlman. What once was her leather suitcase is displayed proudly with many stickers, ribbons, and embellishments to tell the story of the many places she has traveled, people she has met, and stories she had to share. This image received a silver key in the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Silver keys are given to work recognized: with 7-10% of regional submissions awarded silver.

honorable mention

Bikini B*****”

This photo was taken on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. It is especially dear to me because I believe it is a heartfelt capture of my last summer as a camper at Camp Robindel for girls. Being a camper for five years, the place and people have grown incredibly meaningful to me. An award of Honorable Mention in the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is such an amazing accomplishment, especially because the photo is of something so meaningful: a capture of teenage love in friendship. Honorable Mentions are given to work recognized: with 10-15% of regional submissions awarded.
